A new main trailer, theme songs, and two additional cast members have been revealed for the upcoming second season of ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess. Season two is scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 12, 2026.
The latest trailer highlights the show’s opening theme “Sunday Morning” by South Korean girl group ILLIT. Meanwhile the ending theme is “Ohime-sama ni wa Narenai” by singer-songwriter Yuika.
The two new cast members joining the series include Yukari Tamura as Hamu-chan (left) and Tomokazu Sugita as Penta (right).
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

- • Chikahiro Kobayashi as the sword Ex
- • Shizuka Ito as Torture Tortura
- • Tessho Genda as the Hell-lord
- • Mutsumi Tamura as Sakura Heartlock
Yoko Kanamori is directing the second season, with Keichiro Ochi (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) as series composer, Toshiya Kono as character designer, Masaaki Takiyama and Yo Natsuki (new) as sub-character designers, and Masaru Yokoyama as music composer. PINE JAM is handling the animation production once again.
Yasuho Tamura, Shuhei Arita (new), Ayaka Kondo (Fate/Strange Fake co-animation director), and Akiko Kanai (new) are credited as food and prop designers.
The anime is based on the fantasy comedy manga series, written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei. It was serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform from April 4, 2019 to August 19, 2025. Eighteen tankobon volumes have been released as of November 2025, with a 19th volume set to be published in Japan on January 5, 2026. MANGA Plus releases the manga in English digitally.
The first season of the anime was released in January 2024. Crunchyroll licensed the second season for streaming in select countries and territories.
