The upcoming Iron Wok Jan (Tetsunabe no Jan) TV anime has shown off some of its fiery cooking via a teaser trailer and teaser visual.
The previews came with main cast reveals and more staff announcements. Kikunosuke Toya is voicing the titular Jan Akiyama, accompanied by Ikumi Hasegawa as Kiriko Gobancho, Kohei Amasaki as Takao Okonogi, and Kenjiro Tsuda as the narrator.
On the staff side, the newly announced names include:
• Series composer Makoto Uezu (KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!) and character designer
• Character designer: Masako Matsumoto (Overtake!, Aldnoah Zero)
• Food animation director: Atsushi Okuda (Shinobi no Ittoki main animator)
• Food animation director: Chihiro Hanamura
• Action animator: Ryuichi Makino (Wandering Son character designer)

It was previously announced that Ei Aoki (Overtake, Re: CREATORS, Aldnoah Zero) was directing Iron Wok Jan at TROYCA.
Iron Wok Jan is based on the Akita Shoten-published manga created by Shinji Saijo and supervised by Keiko Koyama. DrMaster describes the synopsis of the first volume as such:
The manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 1995 to 2000., has inspired sequels and spin-offs.
The Iron Wok Jan anime will begin airing this year.
