Originating as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel by Mizuki Nagano in 2020, The Person I Loved Asked Me to Die in My Sister’s Stead (Koishita Hito wa, Imoto no Kawari ni Shinde kure to Itta. —Imoto to Kekkon shita Kataomoi shita Aite ga Naze Imasara Watashi no Moto ni? to Omottara—) received a light novel series starting in 2021, followed by a manga. The CORONA EX manga service from he Person I Loved Asked Me to Die in My Sister’s Stead publisher TO Books describes the synopsis as such:
Lady Wisteria’s greatest wish is to be worthy of the man she loves, Lord Bright. But when Wisteria’s little sister, Rosalie, is selected to enter the Predawn Realm as its guardian, never to return, Bright begs Wisteria to take Rosalie’s place!
