Baki-Dou is the fourth chapter of Keisuke Itagaki‘s long-running Baki martial arts manga series, which is set after Baki Hanma’s battle with his father. The manga ran in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from March 20, 2014 to April 5, 2018. A total of 22 tankobon volumes were released in Japan.

The Baki franchise began in 1991 with Baki the Grappler, which has been licensed by Kodama Tales for English print release. It was followed by Baki in 1999, which has been published digitally in English by Media Do International. There are currently seven main Baki series, which include various spin-off titles. Baki Rahen, which began in 2023, is the latest installment in the series.

The manga previously inspired a 1994 OVA and a 2001 TV series, before a new anime series from Netflix began streaming in 2018. The Netflix Baki anime also include 2021’s Baki Hanma and 2023’s Baki Hanma Season 2, as well as the 2024 crossover anime Baki Hanma VS Kengan Ashura.
