The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects TV anime has received a trailer and key visual.
It was also announced that the show will begin airing in July, and that the cast will include Taito Ban as Klaus, Miku Ito as Senai, Haruka Shiraishi as Ayhan, and Jun Fukuyama as Eldan.
The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects (Ryomin 0-nin Start no Henkyo Ryoushu-sama) is based on the light novel series written by Fuurou and illustrated by Kinta. J-Novel Club describes the light novels’ synopsis as such:
Dias finally returns home after decades of war. He’s hailed a hero and promptly rewarded with his own domain…which turns out to be little more than empty plains. Population: zero. Dias, who has only ever known battle, finds himself at a loss. How is he supposed to survive, let alone cultivate his territory into a thriving, prosperous dominion when there’s nothing but grass as far as he can see? Fortunately for Dias, a horned girl by the name of Alna is about to show him there’s more to the plains than meets the eye!

The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects light novels are published under EARTH STAR Entertainment’s EARTH STAR NOVEL label. The first volume was released in October 2018, and Volume 15 will be out on April 15, 2026 (JST). There is a manga by Yumbo.
The story was first serialized as Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel beginning in 2018.
