Thanks to a collaboration between the Evangelion franchise and Beyblade, a【BEYBLADE X x EVANGELION】CX-00 Evangelion Deck Set featuring Evangelion-themed versions of the spinning tops is being sold on the EVANGELION STORE, Takara Tomy Mall, and other “select retailers.”
Announced late last month, the collaboration set includes three Beyblades, along with a couple of “specially printed” Long Winder Launchers and a Beyblade storage box. The Beyblades’ aesthetics are respectively based on Evangelion Unit-01, Evangelion Unit-00, and Evangelion Unit-02, with the associated Evangelion’s head showing up in the center.
Here are the Beyblades’ names and descriptions from the press release:
Eva Brave A1-70V Metal Coat: Violet (Unit-01 Ver.)
A combination of two-layered large three-wing blades and a high-grip bit delivers powerful upper attacks.
Eva Ark B0-70E Metal Coat: Orange (Unit-00 Ver.)
Features a blade with excellent shock absorption and parrying performance, paired with a highly stable bit that helps neutralize attacks until the end of the battle.
Eva Brush T2-70A Metal Coat: Red (Unit-02 Ver.)
Combines upper blades capable of repeated heavy strikes with a high-dash-performance bit for aggressive movement around the stadium.
