The upcoming The Cat and the Dragon TV anime has gotten a “pickup” trailer and key visual, along with a wave of additional cast announcements.
The newly announced voice actors are:
• Kikuko Inoue as Mamanyan
• Fuka Izumi as Shirotae
• Sho Hayami as Kurobane
• Noriaki Sugiyama as Haibuchi
• Maki Kawase as Chikuro
• Shinnosuke Tokudome as Kurotama

The Cat and the Dragon (Neko to Ryu) is set to premiere in July 2026. It adapts the light novel series written by Amara and illustrated by Mai Okuma, with the premise featuring a dragon raised by a cat.
The light novel series began publication under the Takarajimasha Bunko label in 2017 and has nine volumes as of November 2025. The story started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro short story published in 2013.
