“The Boys” are going all the way, no matter the cost, in the fifth and final season of the Emmy Award-winning series.
Fresh off its debut at CCXP in Brazil, the fight continues in the teaser trailer below.
“The Boys” will return April 8, 2026 with two episodes on Prime Video. New episodes will follow each Wednesday, culminating in an epic series finale on May 20.
In the final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.” Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found.
But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it.
Based on the New York Times bestselling comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the satirical superhero series is created by showrunner Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”).
The ensemble includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Cameron Crovetti, Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Jensen Ackles.
Season 5 will see Ackles reunite with his “Supernatural” co-stars Jared Padalecki — whose undisclosed character appears in the new teaser — and Misha Collins.
Kripke, Ennis, and Robertson executive produce alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Judalina Neira, Jessica Chou, Gabriel Garcia, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin, and Jason Netter.
Although “The Boys” is coming to an end and the fate fate of spinoff series “Gen V” is unknown, prequel series “Vought Rising” is currently in production while another spinoff, “The Boys: Mexico,” is also in development.
