The Beginning After the End Season 2 is set to begin airing on April 1, 24:45 JST (effectively April 2 at 12:45 JST). A main trailer and key visual for the TV anime have also been released.
The Beginning After the End is based on the webcomic by TurtleMe (real name Tae Ha Lee) and published by Tapas Entertainment. It was originally a web novel, which was first released on Royal Road before running on Tapas from 2017 to 2025. An ebook format Remastered Edition from Aethon Books launched this month, and has the following synopsis for its first volume:
King Grey had it all: unrivaled power, wealth, and prestige. In a world where personal strength decided the throne, he was the uncontested sovereign.
But when his violent, ambition-driven life ends abruptly, he finds himself in an unimaginable position: reborn as a crying infant in a strange new world.

Most of the comic’s seasons were illustrated by Fuyuki23, who announced their departure in 2023 due to platform payment structure changes. Yen Press publishes the physical volumes. Season 7 will begin on March 12, 2026.
