Teens injured after falling 10 metres over Cherrybrook cliff, Sydney

Two teenagers have been injured after falling down a 10-metre cliff in Sydney’s north-west.

A major rescue operation was launched after a 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl fell down a cliff at Berowra Valley National Park at Cherrybrook on Friday afternoon.

A medical team was brought to the scene by the TOLL helicopter to help stabilise the 17-year-old who suffered critical injuries.

He will be taken to Westmead Hospital once carried to the top of the cliff.

The 16-year-old girl was treated by paramedics and carried by foot to the top of the cliff before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

A 47-year-old woman was treated for shock.

Police, paramedics and members of the Rural Fire Service all attended to assist with the rescue operation.
