Tauseeq Haider Responds to Criticism Over Tattoos During Umrah

Tauseeq Haider is a seasoned Pakistani television announcer, host, and actor. He rose to timeless fame and recognition through his early PTV appearances as a live morning transmission host in the early nineties. He made his acting debut a few years ago in a Turkish series alongside Atiqa Odho. Fans also praised his performances in Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, which aired last year, as well as Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Jafaa, Behroopia, and other dramas. Besides this, he has been active on social media for quite some time. In December 2025, Tauseeq Haider faced backlash for performing Umrah with tattoos.

Recently, Tauseeq Haider appeared on Excuse Me with Ahmed Ali Butt, where he responded to the criticism regarding performing Umrah with tattoos on his body. He also talked about his Umrah journey.

Talking about it, Tauseeq Haider said, “The person behind the keyboard has authority to write anything because he knows the other person can’t respond to their hate. I performed Umrah two months ago. It was a wonderful experience, and I truly enjoyed it. My take is that Allah would not have called me to His place had He been angry with me over my tattoos, so I didn’t pay heed to it. My manager came to me and said, ‘Sir, now they have started abusing you. What should I do? Should we delete it?’ I stopped him because I enjoyed that experience. People also came out in my support. At least people were having discussions over something.”

He further added, “It was my first Umrah, and I had been planning it for ten years but somehow I couldn’t go. I travel across the world—it’s just a four-hour journey, and I don’t even have budget issues—but I didn’t make it despite planning and effort. Now I genuinely believe that Allah calls you at His own time. No matter how much effort you put into planning your journey, you only go when Allah calls you.”

He continued, “I reached the Haram at 1 a.m. It was crowded there even at night. I performed Umrah, completed all the rituals, and made that video. It was a great experience. I used to laugh when people said to me that once you visit the Kaaba, you crave to go again—but now it’s happening to me.”
