A Code Red response for people sleeping rough will be active Statewide from Tuesday 27 January 2026 to Friday 30 January 2026 due to severe heatwave conditions.
The supports and services activated during a Code Red response vary depending on weather conditions, location and service capacity.

The Code Red follows a spate of severe weather, including Severe Heatwave conditions for the Mount Lofty Ranges forecast district on 27/01/2026.
