The Coding Club of Shetty Institute of Technology (SIT), Kalaburagi, successfully organised Code Fusion 2025, an inter-college coding competition, at the institute’s campus in Kalaburagi on Saturday (December 13, 2025). The event provided a competitive platform for students to demonstrate their programming skills, exchange ideas and work on innovative problem-solving approaches.
The competition was aimed at encouraging collaboration, creativity and technological excellence among young coders. The programme began with an inaugural session held at the auditorium of the Shetty Group of Institutions, followed by the coding contest conducted in the AI–ML laboratory.
Students from various institutions, including Visvesvaraya University, Sharnbasva University, and Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering, participated in the event and showcased their technical expertise.
A total prize money of ₹10,000 was awarded to the winners. The first, second and third place teams received ₹5,000, ₹3,000 and ₹2,000 respectively.
Director of the SGI Anirudh Shetty and Principal of SIT Prabhu G. Rakaraddi were present on the occasion. Addressing the participants, they highlighted the importance of coding competitions in enhancing analytical thinking, teamwork and industry-relevant skills among students.
The event was coordinated by the Coding Club under the guidance of faculty coordinators Shweta More and Soumya.
Organisers said Code Fusion 2025 set a strong foundation for future inter-collegiate collaborations and encouraged students to explore emerging technologies and pursue excellence in the field of computer science.
