After two decades on free to air screens, including the last two seasons on Seven, the Shannons SpeedSeries is changing lanes and heading behind the paywall.
In a significant shake up for the local motorsport coverage, the popular GT platform will call Fox Sports home from 2026. While the move means fans will now need a subscription to watch live, it also places the series alongside some of the biggest racing properties in the world.
SRO Motorsports Australia has confirmed a new broadcast deal that will see all six rounds of the championship shown live on Fox Sports and streamed on Kayo Sports, with daily highlights available on demand for viewers who miss the action.

The agreement marks the first time the series has partnered with Fox Sports, ending its relationship with the Seven Network and following a previous stint on Nine’s streaming service Stan Sport.

The move places the SpeedSeries alongside major categories already carried by the network, including Formula 1, MotoGP, Supercars and NASCAR.
Fox Sports will also hold Australian rights to a wide range of SRO’s international GT competitions from Europe, Asia and the U.S., creating a single destination for fans of the category.
SRO Motorsports Australia CEO Ben McMellan said the new partnership positions the series for growth and reflects how audiences now consume live sport.
“Teaming up with Fox Sports is an incredible opportunity to grow for the Shannons SpeedSeries and I am extremely excited about the new era.”
Foxtel Group Executive Director Commercial Sport Adam Howarth said adding the series strengthens the company’s already extensive investment in local sport.
“Motorsports is one of our key pillars so to be able to add a series with such fantastic local presence builds on our local investment.”
Production duties will remain with Rainmaker, which has previously delivered coverage of the championship and other national sporting codes.

The first event under the new deal will be the season opening LIQUI MOLY GT Festival at Phillip Island, launching the partnership with a packed support program of GT and one make categories.
Live coverage begins with the season opening LIQUI MOLY GT Festival at Phillip Island from 27–29 March 2026 on Fox Sports via Foxtel and streaming on Kayo Sports.
