Shahzad Nawaz On Karachi’s People & His Advice to Quaid e Azam

Shahzad Nawaz is an actor and branding expert who gained fame through popular television dramas. He has worked with multiple television channels and has also been associated with advertising agencies. Known for dramas like Parizaad, Badshah Begum, and Shanas, he is regarded as a remarkable actor. He is currently garnering praise for his performance in Ghulam Bashah Sundri, and fans will soon see him in Humrahi.

Shahzad Nawaz recently appeared on Excuse Me, hosted by Ahmed Ali Butt, where he compared the behavior of Karachi and Lahore residents and shared advice he would have given to Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Talking about it, he said, “Every region is recognized by its soil. Don’t get me wrong, but what I have seen in Karachi is that people have frowning expressions on their faces. They look serious, obviously because they have economic problems as well, but this is an arid zone. The most popular tree here is the keekar. In Punjab, even if there is an accident, people would laughingly say, ‘Oh, what happened, dude?’ How can a place not be happy where flowers and plants are happy? I have heard there is always trade going on at the sea. So we take Karachi and in Sindh in that light. Love is found near the rivers and that is the reason why there are the differences in the behaviors of these two regions. I think Karachi struggles with branding too. It’s called the city of Lights, while Lahore is called the city of lively people. Here, you detach citizens from the city, and in Lahore, the city defines its citizens.” Watch here:

He further added that had he lived in the time of Quaid-e-Azam, he would have advised him to name his party the All-India Muslim League in Urdu, a name to which the public could relate. He also said that Quaid-e-Azam’s politics was not ordinary; it was mission-oriented. He had to achieve an objective, which he did.
