Seven is scrubbing back up with the return of U.S. mockumentary St Denis Medical, bringing its second season of hospital chaos to Australian screens this January.
The 18 episode NBC comedy is set inside an underfunded and understaffed hospital in Oregon, following a group of doctors and nurses doing their best to care for patients while barely holding their own lives together.
Led by hospital administrator Joyce, played by Wendi McLendon-Covey, season two opens with a generous private donation giving her a taste of ambition, quickly pushing the hospital into unfamiliar territory as staff grapple with worsening shortages, workplace conflict and personal complications.

The double episode season premiere, which premiered in the U.S. back in early November, sees Alex struggling to maintain her post holiday calm, while Joyce faces an unexpected design crisis in the hospital’s birthing centre.
Elsewhere, Matt and Serena reassess their working relationship before chaos erupts when Bruce is attacked on site, triggering debates around safety and who is truly equipped to protect themselves.
Australian actor Josh Lawson (Home And Away, Sea Patrol, Blue Heelers) returns as Dr Bruce, alongside David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi.
The series is led by showrunner and executive producer Eric Ledgin, with Justin Spitzer, Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu also serving as executive producers.
All episodes from the first season of St Denis Medical are streaming now on 7plus.
Season two of St Denis Medical returns Tuesday 27 January, streaming from 6.00pm on 7plus and airing at 10.30pm on Channel 7.
