Seppeltsfield Road Distillers introduces new gin & gelato and pickle tasting experiences

Seppeltsfield Road Distillers is getting in the spirit of summer by introducing two new tasting experiences at their Barossa venue. The Gin & Gelato Experience and the Pickle Experience are now open to visitors, offering a fun approach to gin tasting during the warmer months.

The Gin & Gelato Experience, developed in partnership with local gelateria Beans and Cream in Tanunda, pairs four of SRD’s gins with specially crafted gelato and sorbet. This pairing complements the distinct botanicals and textures of each gin, providing a unique take on your typical tasting experience. Guests enjoying this selection will enjoy combinations like House Gin with Tropical Pavlova gelato, Savoury Allsorts Gin with Lemon Sorbet, and Barossa Shiraz Gin with both Chocolate and Turkish Delight gelato.

The second tasting, the Pickle Experience, caters to those with a love for savoury flavours. This experience sees four SRD gins matched with an assortment of pickles and preserves from local Barossa producers, each with unique familial and regional ties. The featured pairings include Barossa Dry Gin with Zimmy’s Dill Cucumbers and Musician’s Cut Gin with Stone Wall Kitchen’s Tahitian Lime Pickle, and others.

Both experiences have been curated to highlight the versatility of their gins across different flavour profiles, while also celebrating local collaboration. Each pairing is all about balance and contrast, aiming to push the boundaries of traditional gin tastings.

Jordan Stollznow, SRD’s Customer Experience and Brand Manager, shared, “Summer is about keeping things fresh and interesting. These experiences allow us to showcase our gins in a different way, while collaborating with producers we genuinely admire and sharing stories that are deeply connected to the Barossa.”

Each experience is priced at $35 per person, which includes four 15ml serves of gin, accompanied by ice and tonic and paired with their respective flavour complements.

Visitors can enjoy these experiences at Seppeltsfield Road Distillers throughout the summer. Given the uniqueness and limited nature of these tastings, bookings are recommended and can be made through the Seppeltsfield Road Distillers website.
