A second trailer for next season’s Scenes from Awajima has been released. It hones in on the less-than-friendly relationship between scholarship holder Emi Okabe and the elite Katsurako Ibuki, with the latter being a teacher in the present day who is still haunted by the events of the past. The trailer also has a snippet of the newly announced Hana Hope opening theme song “blue hour.” Separately, an evocative main visual that takes us to the wings of a stage was released.

Scenes from Awajima (Awajima Hyakkei) will begin airing in April 2026, It is based on the omnibus manga by Takako Shimura, which follows an assortment of characters related to the Awashima Girls’ Opera School.
The Ohta Publishing-published manga began in June 2011 and ended in March 2024. It was first serialized in the now-defunct Pocopoco before moving to Ohta Web Comic. The series received an Award for Excellence in the manga category of the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival.
