As we speculated would happen soon, we can confirm that Scary Movie VI has wrapped filming.
The parody sequel had its last day before the cameras on November 24th 2025.
The wrap was confirmed by several cast and crew members, who shared an image of a heartfelt message issued to all involved by the Wayans brothers.
Shaun, Marlon, and Keenan Wayans are returning to the Scary Movie franchise for the first time since 2001’s Scary Movie 2.
A direct sequel to their 2000 original film, Scary Movie VI is thought to be parodying the recent trend of horror legacy sequels.
To that end, the majority of 2000’s Scary Movie cast has returned. The returnees include Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Jon Abrahams, and Cheri Oteri.
Plot details are currently being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that Scary Movie’s iconic Ghostface parody character will return.
Michael Tiddes oversaw directing duties on the reboot, with Rick Alvarez co-writing alongside the Wayans brothers.
Scary Movie VI will release via Paramount Pictures on June 12th 2025.
