Samsung is increasing production of its Samsung Galaxy S26 series this month, according to a new report from Korea, after demand trends differed from initial expectations.
Production Plans Adjusted
Samsung originally planned to produce 2.4 million units in April, including 800,000 Galaxy S26 units, 300,000 Galaxy S26+ units, and 1.3 million Galaxy S26 Ultra units.
The company has now revised those figures. Updated production targets stand at 1.3 million Galaxy S26 units, 1.5 million Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra units, and 200,000 Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus units.
Demand Driving Changes
The report suggests that the standard Galaxy S26 is performing better than expected, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also seeing slightly stronger demand.
In contrast, the Galaxy S26+ is selling below Samsung’s expectations, leading to a reduced production target for the model.
Component Orders Increased
To support the higher output of the S26 and S26 Ultra, Samsung increased component orders in March. These parts are now being used to meet the updated production goals for April.
Industry sources cited in the report attribute the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s higher production share partly to its Privacy Display feature, which is said to be attracting more buyers.
Adjustments to Mid-Range Production
Samsung has also revised production targets for some mid-range models.
The company reduced its Galaxy A57 production plan for April to 1.6 million units, down from an earlier estimate of 1.8 million.
Similarly, Galaxy A17 production has been lowered to 3.9 million units from a previous forecast of 4.4 million.
