Mysuru, one of the country’s major yoga hubs, will host Mysuru Yoga Utsava 2025 from December 18 to 21, celebrating the city’s rich yoga heritage. This will be the third edition of the Yoga Utsava, which has been organised with the theme ‘Tapas’ and aims to bring the global yoga community onto a common platform.
Renowned music composer and Grammy award winner Ricky Kej will inaugurate the Utsava at the Jagannatha Centre for Art & Culture here on December 18 at 11 a.m. Industrialist M. Jagannath Shenoy will attend the event as the chief guest, while S. Sridharan, vice-president of the Indian Yoga Association, along with other dignitaries, will participate.
The valedictory ceremony will be attended by Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Mysuru MP, on December 21.
Yoga exponents from over 30 countries are expected to participate in the Utsava. About 500 yoga enthusiasts will perform yoga under the guidance of experienced gurus.
The four-day festival will feature yoga demonstrations and practice sessions, lectures by eminent yoga gurus and scholars, nearly 50 yoga instructors and experts leading various sessions, and more than 40 special programmes and workshops, a press release read.
