“You’ve made it through Thanksgiving, now try and survive Christmas…”
We’ve made it to December, and that means Christmas is just a few weeks away. Of course, just like every other holiday, the horror genre has used Christmas to great effect over the years.
However, this year, we have something extra special to look forward to!
Rather than watching our yearly genre classics, we have something new to enjoy, with Cineverse’s Silent Night, Deadly Night reboot.
And, in one final piece of promotion, Cineverse has gifted us with one last trailer. But this isn’t any ordinary trailer!
In a loving tribute to the slasher glory days, and the 1984 original, the latest clip is straight out of the eighties.
Combining new footage from the upcoming reboot with audio from the 1984 original, it’s fascinating just how much they compliment each other. Hopefully, this is further proof that Cineverse have crafted the perfect holiday throwback slasher that fans will add to the yearly re-watch cycle.
Silent Night, Deadly Night stars Halloween Ends actor Rohan Campbell as drifter Billy Chapman. Gifted with the uncanny ability to pick out “bad” people, he uses the holidays as the perfect backdrop to deliver a yearly lesson in morality.
The movie is set to hit screens on December 12th, with tickets available now from all good vendors.
