Renowned Olympian Athlete Abdul Rashid Passes Away

Olympian athlete Abdul Rashid has passed away after suffering a heart attack in Mian Channu, his family confirmed on Saturday.

According to family members, Abdul Rashid collapsed at home and could not survive the heart attack. His coaches and fellow athletes also confirmed the news, remembering him as one of Pakistan’s finest hurdlers.

Over the years, Abdul Rashid represented Pakistan in numerous international competitions, earning recognition for his consistent and outstanding performances.

He was a proud member of the Pakistani team that won a gold medal at the 2004 SAF Games. He also remained a multiple-time national champion in the 110m hurdles.

In 2008, the Olympian athlete Abdul Rashid proudly represented the country at the Beijing Olympics, earning respect for his dedication and discipline on the track.

Sports circles across Pakistan have expressed sorrow over his death, praising his contributions and calling his passing an irreparable loss for national athletics.
