Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 15A in India as the latest addition to the Redmi 15 series. The device brings a large battery, a high refresh rate display, and entry-level pricing.
The Redmi 15A is a rebadged version of the Poco C85x, featuring a redesigned camera island.
Design and Display
The Redmi 15A features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display reaches up to 810 nits of peak brightness and includes an 8MP front-facing camera.
The phone carries an IP52 rating for dust and water splash resistance. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device is available in Awesome Blue, Amaze Purple, and Ace Black color options.
Internals and Software
The device is powered by the Unisoc T8300 chipset, paired with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. It also includes a dual SIM slot with support for microSD card expansion.
On the software side, the phone runs HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16. Xiaomi has committed to four years of firmware updates and six years of security patches.
Cameras
The Redmi 15A features a 32MP main rear camera accompanied by an unspecified auxiliary sensor.
On the front, it includes an 8MP selfie camera integrated into the display.
Battery and Pricing
The phone is equipped with a 6,300mAh battery. It supports 15W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging.
The base 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at $137. The 4GB/128GB model costs $153, while the 6GB/128GB version is priced at $174.
Open sales for the Redmi 15A will begin on April 3.
