Rajab Butt is a famous Pakistani YouTuber who recently made headlines after being attacked by lawyers from the Karachi City Court on the day he was presented before the court. A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing Rajab Butt and Nadeem Nani Wala being attacked by the lawyers and a mob. According to Rajab Butt, the lawyers beat them for around 1.5 hours, deliberately recorded videos of the attack, and falsely announced that they had “updated” Rajab Butt’s software.
Today, Rajab Butt shared a detailed vlog in which he recounted the city court beating incident and explained how the lawyers’ plan backfired, despite their belief that they would become heroes by attacking him.
Talking about the incident, Rajab Butt said, “Nadeem and I were worried about what would happen to us. We thought everyone would be laughing at us and mocking us. We were confused and embarrassed about our software being ‘updated.’ But if Allah decides to give you respect, nobody can take it away. What we witnessed was their plan backfiring—they were humiliated. Everyone is cursing and criticizing them. The law is a respected profession, and lawyers are respected professionals. Our country was founded by a lawyer—Quaid-e-Azam—who earned it through logic and debate, not by beating others. Law is a great profession, and people aspire to become lawyers, but after this incident, some may think otherwise. Not all lawyers are like that. There may be issues with the law in our country, but their plan backfired, and we finally succeeded in filing an FIR. Watch the video.” Watch video here:
He further added, “One positive thing that happened was the government’s support. Minister of Auqaf Riaz Shirazi, Governor Kamran Tessori, Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, senior lawyer Jibran Nasir, and the Sindh government supported us.
