Nova Brisbane is shaking up its 106.9 Breakfast lineup yet again, bringing Olympian and longtime presenter Susie O’Neill back to her old seat next year.
She replaces comedian Nikki Osborne, who has decided to step away after just one year with the number one breakfast show, making a tearful announcement on air this morning and admitting she “really tried to make it work” despite an almost two hour commute from the Sunshine Coast.
The new show, Nick, Luttsy and Susie O’Neill, launches on 19 January 2026 and pairs Susie with David “Luttsy” Lutteral, her former co-host from the previous Ash, Kip and Luttsy with Susie O’Neill lineup.

The news of the new lineup comes just one week after the departure of longtime presenter Ash Bradnam, who wrapped up his final show last Friday after being told he would not return in 2026.
Bradnam has been part of Nova from the very beginning, spending more than 20 years with the network and helping launch the station when it first hit the air in Brisbane.
Osborne, who joined the network this year in her first radio hosting role, leaves the breakfast slot after a strong run.
She helped Ash, Luttsy and Nikki Osborne secure the number one breakfast title in the latest GfK survey, released just last week. She will remain with Nova to work on national programming and new content next year.

One of Australia’s most decorated swimmers, O’Neill is no stranger to early starts, having spent more than a decade on the breakfast shift before stepping away from the show at the end of 2024.
She now returns with what Nova promises will be a refreshed but familiar local breakfast format

She will also share the studio with Nick Allen-Ducat, a Queenslander who started at Nova Brisbane at age 17 and returns after hosting breakfast in Newcastle. In his words, the move is a “coming home” moment for him and his family.
The changes round out a significant year of movement across major radio markets, as stations prepare for another competitive ratings cycle in 2026.
Nick, Luttsy and Susie O’Neill begins 19 January on Nova 106.9 in Brisbane.
