In her statement, the chief minister said that Basant festivities will now continue until 5:00 am tomorrow, describing the decision as a reward for citizens who celebrated the occasion responsibly while strictly following all safety standard operating procedures.
She said the energy, unity, and joy seen across the city reflected the public’s commitment to making Basant a safe and positive event. Maryam Nawaz urged residents to continue celebrating with care, advising them to stay away from electric wires, secure their rooftops, and adhere to all safety guidelines issued by the authorities.
The chief minister emphasized that public cooperation played a key role in ensuring a peaceful environment during the celebrations and appealed to citizens to maintain the same level of discipline during the extended hours.
