Prime Video has today dropped the first look trailer, in both full colour and black and white no less, for its latest series Spider-Noir, giving audiences their clearest glimpse yet at Nicolas Cage’s gritty new role.
Also revealed today was the premiere date for the long awaited noir drama, after first look images of Cage in his first leading television role were teased earlier this week, with the streamer confirming when Australian audiences can finally see him step into the shadows.
Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the series follows Ben Reilly, played by Cage, a weary private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to confront his past life as the city’s only superhero after a deeply personal tragedy.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for Prime Video and MGM+, the live action drama will debut in the United States first on MGM+ before rolling out globally, including in Australia, on May 27, 2026.
Emmy Award winning director Harry Bradbeer directs and executive produces the first two episodes, with co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot developing the project alongside Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal.
The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston and Brendan Gleeson, with an extensive guest lineup rounding out the noir inspired superhero drama.
In a stylistic twist that leans into its pulp comic origins, the series will stream in two formats, giving audiences the choice between “True-Hue Full Color” and “Authentic Black & White” for two distinct viewing experiences.
