No injuries were reported, but fire officials said the incident led Massachusetts State Police fire investigators to become suspicious. After examining the scene, interviewing witnesses, and collecting additional evidence, they determined that the fire had been intentionally set.

Monterey police and State Police investigators began looking for Rohane, searching the wooded area behind his home and areas of the nearby Beartown State Forest. They have not yet found him and are now asking the public to be on the lookout, according to the Department of Fire Services.

Rohane may be wearing a green jacket and boots, according to fire officials. Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately and not to approach him.
