Planning two unique weddings across two countries, this planning team brought two distinct visions to life on the same weekend!

For most wedding planners, orchestrating even one destination wedding is a formidable undertaking with months of preparation, layered logistics, cultural sensitivities, and the expectation of perfection at every turn. To take on two destination weddings on the same weekend, in two different countries, each vastly different in scale and spirit, is a challenge that tests not just planning skills, but conviction. This season, WeddingSutra Favorite – Revel Events rose to that moment.

Backed by a lean yet seasoned team, the planning house successfully delivered two parallel celebrations, each crafted to mirror the distinct vision of the couple and their families. “We’ve always believed that scale doesn’t define significance,” shares Rani Morani, Founder at Revel Events. “What matters is intent. Whether it’s an expansive international celebration or an intimate gathering, our role is to translate emotions into experiences, seamlessly.” Managed simultaneously across Hong Kong and Thailand, both weddings unfolded with clarity, composure, and meticulous attention to detail.

From a high-profile, luxury-led showcase in Hong Kong to a thoughtfully curated, last-minute destination wedding in Khao Lak, both celebrations were met with heartfelt appreciation from couples and guests alike.

The Grand Symphony: A Hong Kong Extravaganza
Over a year in the making, the Hong Kong celebration emerged as one of Revel Events’ most ambitious projects to date. Rooted in a long-standing relationship with the couple, whose engagement festivities had also been conceptualised by the team, the wedding was envisioned as a multi-day narrative of elegance and grandeur.

Set across Hong Kong’s most prestigious hotels, the week-long celebrations opened with the groom’s stately arrival in a Rolls Royce, instantly setting the tone. One of the most meaningful moments unfolded at a local Gurudwara, where the team curated décor that was respectful yet distinctive. The festivities culminated in a breathtaking reception at Rosewood Hong Kong, recently crowned the world’s best hotel. To bring the vision to life with absolute precision, a specialised team was flown in from Thailand. “This wedding was about honouring trust built over time,” reflects Rani. “When a family hands you a year of their lives, you owe them nothing less than excellence in every detail.”

The Intimate Masterpiece: A Last-Minute Marvel in Khao Lak
In stark contrast, just three weeks before the Hong Kong wedding weekend, Revel Events was approached for another celebration scheduled for the same dates. The brief was intimate yet exacting: an 80 –100 guest destination wedding at Le Meridien Khao Lak, Thailand, planned entirely from scratch in just 21 days.

Adding another layer of complexity, the team had never met the couple in person. Every conversation, design approval, and walkthrough took place virtually. While one half of the team was stationed in Hong Kong, the other mobilised in Thailand, relying on clear communication and mutual trust to execute the couple’s vision. “Planning a wedding without ever meeting the couple is rare,” notes Rani. “But trust can transcend distance when expectations are clear, and intentions are aligned.” What emerged was a serene, beachside celebration proving that intimacy and efficiency can coexist with elegance.
