Officials are investigating after a person stabbed a dog that was allegedly attacking them in Milton, according to State Police.
On Monday morning police were called to Blue Hill River Road regarding a dog attack, State Police said in a statement emailed to Boston.com.
There is a local park and recreation area just at the end of the road.
According to police, an off leash dog allegedly attacked a person, who stabbed the dog as a result.
The dog was transported to a nearby vet, State Police said.
Milton Animal Control is investigating the incident, police said.
