Pakistan has finally announced its squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup during a press conference held in Lahore.
Following Bangladesh’s removal from the ICC tournament, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that PCB will consult with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before confirming the squad for the T20 World Cup.
The tournament will be jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and India, with all of Pakistan’s matches scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka. The squad announcement comes as the team enters the final stage of preparations for the global event.

Pakistan will begin its World Cup campaign on February 7 against the Netherlands at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo. The second group match will be played on February 10 against the United States of America at the same venue.
The much-anticipated group-stage clash against India is set for February 15 at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. Pakistan will conclude its group matches on February 18 against Namibia at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground.
