Pakistan Idol is a Pakistani musical reality show based on the format of American Idol, the world’s most popular musical reality show. Previously, Season 1 of Pakistan Idol aired around 11 years ago. The show is currently airing on multiple TV channels, including Green Entertainment, Geo, and PTV Home. Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Bilal Maqsood are judging the show. The competition has finally entered its last phase, from where the elimination process will begin.
Pakistan Idol did not air for around two weeks, which sparked massive backlash. Many viewers claimed that the show’s budget had run out or that the star judges had left the panel. However, the show resumed this week with bang-on appearances by stars like Asim Azhar, along with the same judging panel.
Recently, the judges of Pakistan Idol revealed the reason behind their absence. Fawad Khan said that the musical show is a celebration, and a pause in that celebration can annoy fans; however, the show is now back on track. Zeb Bangash also said, “We are back. We faced a lot of anger and hate from fans, but for the first time, we were happy about it because it meant people were missing us. Also, they have shown their immense love and appreciation” Meanwhile, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan shared that he feels the contestants’ energy has improved after the break. Watch here:
