Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, on Monday distributed winning cheques to Pakistan’s title-winning teams during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) auction ceremony.
The cheque distribution ceremony honored the Pakistan squad that won the Hong Kong Sixes 2025, as well as the Pakistan Shaheens team for their triumph in the Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025. Officials, players, and PCB representatives were present at the event.
Pakistan clinched the Hong Kong Sixes title after defeating Kuwait by 43 runs in the final, played at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok in November.
The Pakistan Shaheens were also rewarded for their title-winning performance in the Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025.
The young side emerged champions after defeating Bangladesh A in a thrilling final at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, also held in November.
The final went down to the wire, with both teams scoring 125 runs in their respective 20 overs, forcing the match into a Super Over. Pakistan Shaheens held their nerve in the decisive phase to secure the championship.
The PCB stated that the recognition reflects its commitment to encouraging emerging talent and rewarding strong performances at the international level.
