The Onegai AiPri anime that was announced last month has now received a teaser trailer, key visual, and an April 5 broadcast start date, alongside other reveals.
The new AiPri show sees teenager Inori Konomi (Hanaka Ogawa) moving to Onegai Town with the hopes of becoming an AiPri (Idol Princess). She meets the popular AiPri Aoi Yumemiya (Rika Kanaya) and the stuffed toy-like Fortu (Yo Taichi), which leads to Inori getting her AiPri debut.
Also part of the cast are Wakana Maruoka as Gumi Tomozaka, Haruka Okamura as Olivia Yuki, Minori Fujidera as Nana Atami, and Minori Suzuki as Ema Mochinaga.

Onegai AiPri‘s staff includes Nam Sung Min (Himitsu no AiPri: Ring Arc), Jeon Byung Cheol, Oh Sun Kyung (Himitsu no AiPri: Ring Arc), Choi Kyung Won (Himitsu no AiPri: Ring Arc), Kim Seong Hyeon, Chun Doo Hwan, Kwak Soo Hyun, and So Ho Sung as chief directors. Manabu Nii (Days With My Stepsister) is the character designer, while OLM and DONGWOO A＆E are producing.
The opening theme song is “Onegai AiPri!” by Onegai Kanaetai, which comprises Inori, Aoi, Gumi, Olivia, Nana, and Ema. Meanwhile, the ending song is “Hokago no Onegai!” by MADE IN TOHOKU.
Onegai AiPri is part of the Pretty Series, a multimedia franchise featuring music, fashion, and magic that began with a kids-targeted arcade game by Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. and syn Sophia in 2010. Since 2011, there have been multiple anime series and anime movies, including the King of Prism and PriPara titles.
March 13 will see the premiere of the anime film Eiga Himitsu no AiPri: Mankai Buzzlume Live!
