A teaser trailer for July 5’s (JST) One Piece Heroines anime have been unveiled, allowing viewers to get a peek at what looks to be a confident and glamorous spin-off outing.
Aside from Nami and Nico Robin, the teaser highlights the characters Miucha and Lebno, who are revealed to be voiced by Maya Sakamoto and Takehito Koyasu, respectively.
A new visual for One Piece Heroines, providing a different spin on an earlier one, was also released.
The one-episode anime is based on ONE PIECE novel HEROINES, adapting the “episode : NAMI” story and including anime-original elements. ONE PIECE novel HEROINES, which was originally serialized in ONE PIECE magazine, features short stories focused on female One Piece characters like Nami, Nico Robin, Boa Hancock, Uta, and more.
One Piece Heroines is directed by Haruka Kamatani, who co-directed Koisuru One Piece and Looking for Magical Doremi and has participated in episode/unit direction for the One Piece TV anime, some of the movies, and other titles like The First Slam Dunk. Other core crew members include Takashi Kojima (Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation, Ride Your Wave, and The Colors Within ) and Momoka Toyoda (One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga series composer, My Happy Marriage Season 1 co-series composer, One Piece Fan Letter) as scriptwriter.
Two ONE PIECE novel HEROINES volumes were published under Shueisha’s JUMP j BOOKS label/imprint between 2021 and 2024. Jun Esaka is the author, while Sayaka Suwa is the illustrator. Viz Media publishes the ONE PIECE novel HEROINES books in English under the title One Piece Heroines.
