The 12th Anime Trending Awards celebrated the most beloved female anime characters, recognizing the best girls from 2025. In the highly competitive Girl of the Year category, Oguri Cap from Umamusume: Cinderella Gray emerged victorious with 14,697 votes. Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries S2 finished close behind in second place with 13,532 votes, and she had also placed second in the 11th Anime Trending Awards. Finally, the fashionable Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling S2 placed third with 12,533 votes, beating out another Umamusume, Agnes Tachyon, by 243 votes.
Oguri Cap’s win adds to Umamusume: Cinderella Gray‘s sweep of the 12th Anime Trending Awards. The show took home not only Girl and Supporting Girl of the Year, but also Anime of the Year, Anime Movie of the Year, Best Sports Anime, and more — even claiming Supporting Boy of the Year with Jo Kitahara, Oguri’s steadfast trainer.

In the Supporting Girl of the Year category, Oguri Cap’s earnest and shy friend Belno Light won the title with 12,205 votes, finishing ahead of The Apothecary Diaries S2’s crafty anti-heroine Shisui in second place with 11,471 votes and Oguri Cap’s racing rival Tamamo Cross in third with 11,234 votes.
