The 23rd Street Distillery is bringing us a new reason to head to the Riverland for the Easter long weekend, and it’s not for camping or jetting down the river. If you’re looking for a sunset session with live music, lawn lounging and great drinks, The Big Sunday might be exactly what’s needed.

“It’s all about relaxed Easter long-weekend vibes,” says Jasmine Morgan, Tourism and Visitor Experience Executive at 23rd Street Distillery. “Think about sipping cocktails, listening to great music, families catching up with friends and the sun setting behind the still house as the dance floor starts to fill.”

The weekend is one of the biggest of the year for the distillery which sits within the riverside town of Renmark, and has quickly become a popular stop with visitors and locals alike.

The main stage lineup will feature throwback favourites and local talent, delivering the ultimate mix of 80s, 90s and 00s hits. Behind the decks are DJs Sarez and Nages, along with live acoustic artists bringing chilled sounds throughout the evening.

“When the Riverland sky starts putting on a show at sunset, it’s hard to be anywhere but outside,” Jas says. “Add a drink, some nostalgic music and good company and the afternoon sorts itself out.”

It’s a family-friendly event, so let the kids run around while the adults settle back with a drink in hand and a 23rd Street Distillery drink in hand doesn’t hurt.

Behind the bar, the team will be serving up a range of drinks including 23rd Street premium spirits and shaking up all the classic cocktails we know and love. For those putting their hand up to be a designated driver, an ample amount of non-alcoholic drinks will be on offer.

“It also wouldn’t be a 23rd Street Distillery experience without our classic wood oven pizzas and the kitchen will be serving up plenty of share options to keep everyone fed.”

The distillery will be extending their trading hours specifically with this event so more visitors can come and enjoy the day.

“The goal is to create a fun, relaxed community event and if everyone loves it as much as we hope they will, it may just become a new Easter tradition.”

Early bird tickets are available now from $20 online, with door sales available if the event doesn’t sell out beforehand.
