Netflix Sets May Premiere Date for ‘Devil May Cry’ Season 2

Dante (voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch) is squaring off against his twin brother Vergil (voiced by Robbie Daymond) in the second season of Devil May Cry.

The brotherly brawl is set to commence next year, as Netflix has officially set a May 12, 2026, premiere date.

In season 2, a war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother Vergil.

Created by Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar, the animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game first hit Netflix back in April (check out Daniel’s review) and was quickly renewed for a second season.

In the series, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.  Dante, a half-demon professional demon hunter, finds himself in the middle of an ongoing conflict between the forces of Hell and a mysterious specialized military unit known as DARKCOM.

While the villainous White Rabbit (voiced by Hoon Lee) leads infernal terrorist attacks across Earth, Dante and DARKCOM are forced to work together to uncover the truth behind the demonic attacks and to ultimately stop them.

Alongside Bosch and Daymond is Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady.

The season two premiere announcement also comes with a new image that highlights the family turmoil taking center stage.
