Australia’s homegrown NCIS offshoot is set to continue, with the local original NCIS: Sydney officially renewed for a fourth season of the globally backed procedural series.
The renewal comes after U.S. broadcaster CBS, which greenlit the series alongside Australia’s Network 10 for Paramount+ locally, confirmed a further pickup as part of its latest slate decisions.
It follows a wider NCIS franchise renewal, with CBS confirming further seasons of NCIS, now entering season 24, and NCIS: Origins, renewed for season three.

The third season in 2025 marked a step up for the series with an expanded 20 episode run, eight of which have aired so far, with new episodes returning on Paramount+ from March 3.
Set in and around Sydney, the local procedural centres on a joint Australian Federal Police and NCIS taskforce tackling high stakes naval and maritime investigations, and has proven a strong performer both locally and across international markets.
In the U.S., NCIS: Sydney has delivered solid linear audiences for CBS this season, averaging around 2.89 million viewers per episode, slightly down year on year but remaining a steady performer within the network’s scripted slate.
The series stars Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel and William McInnes, and is jointly produced by CBS Studios and Endemol Shine Australia.
The renewal marks a relatively rare milestone for an Australian-produced drama, securing a fourth season airing on broadcast television in the U.S. while continuing to screen locally across free-to-air and streaming platforms.
Locally, season two of NCIS: Sydney has recently received a free to air linear run on Network 10’s main channel, airing Sunday nights following I’m A Celebrity, after first premiering on streaming earlier in 2025.
