His this week’s podcast was about film star Saima, who recently received widespread praise on television for her performance in Main Manto Nahi Hoon.
While giving an interview to Abdul Hayee Siddiqui for The Blue Truth Digital, Nasir Adeeb revealed new details about Syed Noor and Saima’s secret marriage.
Talking about Saima and Syed Noor secret Nikah, Nasir Adeeb said, “Syed Noor came into her life, and I got to know about it, although their relationship was not confirmed. I was confused about how she could be in a relationship with him because she was very reserved. Later, I heard the news of their marriage. Their marriage was arranged by one of my film’s producers, Karamat Gujjar, who was their close friend. The whole industry turned against it because many directors wanted to marry Saima. I wasn’t hurt, but I was shocked about why Saima chose Syed Noor. I was still against him, but one day while reciting the translation of the Quran, I read the verse, ‘Good women are for good men, and bad women are for bad men.’ I knew Saima was a pious lady with no greed. If she chose to marry Syed Noor, then there must have been some good qualities in him. After that, I let go of all my grudges right away.”
He further added, “Saima was a simple woman. She didn’t make many friends, nor was she involved in scandals. She had only one scandal, and that was with Syed Noor. One scandal is the right of every woman. I was against Syed Noor at that time, but later I let go of my animosity toward him. He didn’t change, but I still ended all my rifts with him.”
