TOHO has unveiled several projects to commemorate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the My Hero Academia anime series at the Jump Festa 2026 event. The celebrations include the reveal of a special new teaser visual, commemorative 10th anniversary logo, a new extra episode, and the launch of a worldwide concert tour in 2026.
The newly released anniversary visual is produced by Bones Films and illustrated by series co-character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi. It showcases ten versions of Izuku Midoriya throughout the anime’s past eight seasons.

Additionally, as part of the 10th anniversary celebration, a brand-new episode titled “More” will premiere on May 2, 2026, and will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide (excluding Asia). It will adapt the manga’s 431st chapter, which was exclusively included in the final 42nd volume, and follows Deku and his classmates eight years after graduating from U.A. High School.

TOHO will also launch the upcoming “My Hero Academia in Concert” world tour in 2026 — a live music experience featuring the music of composer Yuki Hayashi. The concert will pair Hayashi’s music with pivotal scenes from the anime series. The tour will start on May 30, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama, before expanding to international venues. Future dates, ticket details, and global tour stops will be announced soon, with more information and updates available on the tour’s official website.
More projects, collaborations, events, and announcements will be announced later on in 2026.
TOHO Animation also posted a “Final Season Special Video” for the show’s eighth season that includes English subtitles.
The first TV anime season of My Hero Academia debuted in 2016, while the eighth and final season was released in October 2025, before ending this month. The series also inspired four anime films, including 2024’s My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series and films in select countries and territories worldwide.
The original manga series by Kohei Horikoshi was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from July 7, 2014 to August 5, 2024. Forty-two total tankobon volumes were published in Japan. A spinoff titled My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was published from 2016 to 2022 and received its own TV anime adaptation, which will have its second season premiere on January 5, 2026.
VIZ Media licensed the My Hero Academia manga for English release, describing the main premise as:
Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny.
