The Moriarty The Patriot Musical has revealed the main visual for its upcoming musical “Moriarty The Patriot Musical The Scarlet Study Reprise.” The visual features Shogo Suzuki as William Moriarty and Ryo Hirano as Sherlock Holmes. Both Suzuki and Hirano are reprising their roles for this latest project.
“Moriarty The Patriot Musical The Scarlet Study Reprise” will perform in Japan from June 27, 2026, to July 19, 2026, at the Galaxy Theater.

“Moriarty The Patriot Musical The Scarlet Study Reprise” was first announced in December 2025 in celebration of the original Moriarty The Patriot manga series’ 10th anniversary. The musical will have two different groups of main cast preforming in the musical. Hideyuki Nishimori is returning to direct this latest musical as well as writing its script.
The original manga series was written by Ryosuke Takeuchi and illustrated by Hikaru Miyoshi. It started serializing in Shueisha’s Jump Square in August 2016. As of February 2026, it has released 21 manga volumes, with the 22nd volume scheduled for release in Japan on March 4, 2026. The series has inspired an anime adaptation, OVAs, light novel side stories, stage plays, and musicals.
Viz Media has licensed and is publishing the manga in English while Crunchyroll is streaming all 24 episodes of the series and OVAs. Crunchyroll describes the series as:
