Mohamed Salah’s representative has finally spoken out following the Egyptian star’s shock departure announcement, and it turns out nobody has a clue where he’s heading next.
Ramy Abbas Issa took to X this evening to address the swirling rumours, stating: “We do not know where Mohamed will play next season.
“This also means that no one else knows.”
The agent, who’s well known for his social media spats with journalists over coverage of his client, added a warning about “click attention seekers” in his post.

It’s a clear message to fans not to believe any reports about Salah’s next destination over the coming days.
Salah dropped the bombshell earlier on Tuesday, confirming in an emotional video that his time at Liverpool is coming to an end this summer.
“Unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell,” the 33-year-old said.
“I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.”

What makes this particularly surprising is that the forward still has 12 months remaining on his contract, having signed a fresh two-year deal back in April 2025.
Liverpool confirmed an agreement is already in place for him to leave on a free transfer.
The club said Salah wanted to tell supporters at the earliest opportunity “due to his respect and gratitude for them.”
So where might the Egyptian King end up? The Saudi Pro League has been the most talked-about option, with Al-Ittihad having their £150m offer knocked back by Liverpool in the summer of 2023.

MLS has also been floated as a possibility, though nothing concrete has emerged on that front.
But Abbas Issa’s statement suggests we should take all that speculation with a pinch of salt for now.
Whatever happens next, Salah leaves behind an incredible legacy at Anfield. He’s won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup and two League Cups since arriving under Jurgen Klopp back in June 2017.
