Ever since Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey proved a runaway success for Rhys Frake-Waterfield, we’ve seen more and more public domain characters getting the horror treatment. Naturally, filmmakers will keep pushing boundaries and raising the stakes to stand out from the pack. And that’s exactly what director Glenn Douglas Packard is doing with his new crossover film, The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie.
The picture will pit beloved characters Winnie-the-Pooh and Mickey Mouse against each other in an Alien vs. Predator-style crossover event. If you’re curious to see what such a setup looks like, check out the newly released teaser trailer below.
The trailer leaves much to the imagination but still gives viewers a sense of the blood-soaked mayhem that awaits when the classic characters collide.
The film, which is expected to debut at some point in 2026, stars Fayna Sanchez, Daniel Wilkinson, and Givanni Gotay.
The setup for The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie dates back a hundred years, when two convicts were swallowed by a Hell forest. Fast forward to the present, and we catch up with a group of former reform school students as they reunite at their alma mater. But this is no ordinary reunion. The core characters ultimately run afoul of the convicts who have now donned the identity of two beloved characters from the public domain: Mickey Mouse and Winnie-the-Pooh.
