Mick Molloy and Glenn Robbins confirm SEVEN series Celebrity Intervention

After months of quiet teasing, the mystery Glenn Robbins and Mick Molloy project has finally stepped out from behind the curtain.

The pair used breakfast radio this morning to confirm the title and outline a format that sounds equal parts roast, therapy and comedy experiment, with TV Blackbox understanding filming on the first episode begins today.

Details of the show were confirmed on Triple M’s Mick in the Morning, where Mick Molloy was joined live by Glenn Robbins to officially reveal the name Glenn and Mick’s Celebrity Intervention.

The series will see well known Australians invited into a tongue in cheek intervention, with friends, family and colleagues encouraged to revisit questionable public moments and say the quiet parts out loud.

Introducing the concept on air, Molloy explained the thinking behind the format, saying:

“We’re going to take well known celebrities and grill them about things they’ve done that they shouldn’t have done.”

Robbins expanded on the tone of the show and the motivation behind it, adding:

“We’re worried about them! We’re bringing them in to make sure everything is okay and to work through some things so they can get on with their life. These people are in trouble!”

The announcement follows Seven’s upfront reveal last year, with details gradually surfacing since, and comes as Molloy continues his role on The Front Bar and a guest appearance lined up on Dr Chris Brown’s Once In a Lifetime, set to premiere after Easter.

Robbins summed up the duo’s enthusiasm for the project with a final on air flourish:

“The show is more of a community service than it is entertainment. It’s about doing good for other people, which we all need to do in 2026.”

Seven is yet to confirm whether the series will land in the 7.30pm or 8.30pm slot, with the final scheduling call likely to come once production is underway and the show’s content and tone are fully realised.
