Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi, the first installment of the new Made in Abyss theatrical anime series, will begin screening this fall. A teaser video has been released.

Made in Abyss is inspired by the Takeshobo-published dark fantasy adventure manga by Akihito Tsukushi, the synopsis of which Seven Seas Entertainment describes as such:
In an age when the corners of the world have been scoured for their secrets, only one place remains unexplored–a massive cave system known as the Abyss. Those who traverse its endless pits and labyrinth-like tunnels are known as Cave Raiders. A young orphan named Riko dreams of following in her mother’s footsteps as a Cave Raider, and when she meets a strange robot when exploring the Abyss, she’s one step closer to achieving her goal!
The anime began in 2017 with a TV series, which was followed by 2020’s Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul anime movie and the 2022 second season Made In Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun. The existence of another new anime was announced in 2024.
The Made in Abyss manga debuted n 2012 and has 14 volumes as of August 2025, It is serialized on Web Comic Gamma.
