MediaOCD & AnimEigo License Master of Martial Hearts & Sketchbook ~full color’S~ Anime Titles

MediaOCD and AnimEigo announced that it has licensed two anime titles: Master of Martial Hearts and Sketchbook ~full color’S~. Both titles will be released on Blu-ray later this year.

Master of Martial Hearts (also known in Japan as Zettai Shougeki: Platonic Heart) is an 5-episode OVA series that was released between October 2008 to February 2009. Studio Kikan was the animation production company and it was directed by Yoshitaka Fujimoto

The OVA series was previously released in English by Funimation in 2010, which described the main synopsis as:

Aya Iseshima’s carefree existence takes a bone-crushingly violent turn when she wanders into the midst of a sadistic, girl-on-girl martial arts tournament. Her freshly-pressed school uniform doesn’t stand a chance of surviving this pugilistic peep show, but Aya’s outto prove that she can take a pounding just as well as the other knock outs in this clandestine competition. If she manages to survive a series of fabric-shredding fights with titillating teachers, sultry stewardesses, and mesmerizing maidens of the moe variety, Aya’s every wish will be granted by a mysterious jewel known as the Platonic Heart. But if she goes down for the count, she’ll join the growing ranks of brutally bruised – yet resiliently buxom beauties that are never heard from again!

Sketchbook ~full color’S~ was a 13-episode TV anime series that was released in 2007 and directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike. Hal Film Maker handled the animation production. It is based on the Sketchbook slice of life comedy manga series by Totan Kobako

The anime was previously released in English by Nozomi Entertainment in 2015 and streamed on Crunchyroll. It described the main premise as:

No matter where she goes, Sora takes her sketchbook along. The world is full of mysterious and beautiful things, after all, and Sora doesn’t want to miss a single one. The best way she knows to capture each moment is by drawing and sketching, watching and learning.

MediaOCD also confirmed that the 2005 Hotori: Simply Wishing For Hope anime special is now available for pre-order. The Blu-ray release includes a new English dub produced by SkySet Entertainment and an AstroRes upscale. An exclusive slipcover will also be included for pre-orders made on MediaOCD’s online store.

In addition, the company announced the licensed acquisition of Zhang Yimou’s 1988 Red Sorghum Chinese film, which was the winner of the “Golden Bear” award at the 38th Berlin Film Festival. It will also be released on Blu-ray later this year.

MediaOCD previously launched the “Discotek Deep Dives” initiative in late January 2026 and announced more home video title additions this month.
