Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Kiara Abrantes, Bridgewater State
Senior, Somerset, Mass.
Abrantes garnered All-New England honors while setting school records in both the 400-meter dash and 200-meter dash this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships held at The Track at New Balance. Placed second in the 400 with a time of 55.24 seconds as she eclipsed her own previous indoor standard of 55.49 set earlier this season at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic. Placed fourth in the 200 with a time of 24.66 seconds as she broke the previous indoor mark of 24.68. Currently ranks fifth in all of Division III in the 400 (second in the East Region) and 17th in the 200 (fourth in the East Region).

Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Elize Lee, Westfield State
Junior, Walpole, Mass
Lee placed third with a leap of 11.29 meters in the triple jump scoring six points in the team scoring and also logged 14th in the long jump at 5.17 meters at the New England Division III Championships on Sunday.
