Ernidia Goncalves of Salem State and Emilie von der Linder of Bridgewater State are the MASCAC Women’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honorees.
Player of the Week
Ernidia Goncalves, Salem State
Senior, Forward, Everett, Mass.
Goncalves averaged 19 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 1.5 assists with shooting 57.7 percent (15-26) from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Vikings. Finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals in the 85-44 win over Fitchburg State. Added 22 points, seven rebounds, five steals and two assists in the 79-65 win over Worcester State.

Rookie of the Week
Emilie von der Linden, Bridgewater State
Freshman, Center, Sanbornville, NH
von der Linden averaged 9.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.7 blocked shots while shooting 43.3% (13-30) from the floor in a perfect 3-0 week for the Bears. Posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds (two offensive) to go along with a school record-tying eight blocks in a 75-63 MASCAC win over Westfield State. Notched ten points and eight rebounds (three offensive) in a road victory over MCLA. Pulled down 11 rebounds and added four points, an assist and three blocks in a 67-59 nonconference win over Conn. College.
